You might have a chance to get a free government tablet, If you match any of these easy requirements:
- Join Government programs such as SNAP, Federal Public Housing Assistance, Medicaid, or SSI.
- Have household income within the ACP (up to 200%) or Lifeline (up to 135%) Federal Poverty Guidelines.
- Enrolled in your internet provider’s discounted plan for low-income households.
You’ll have to submit simple documents to confirm your eligibility at first and then once every year. Make sure to use your Free tablet at least once every 30 days to continue receiving your benefits.

Connected Through ACP and Lifeline
Lifeline and ACP are government programs created to support affordable digital access for low-income families. Lifeline is currently active and helps with discounts on internet and phone services. It provides higher support for Tribal areas and often includes free or low-cost tablets.
ACP, now on hold, offered monthly internet discounts and up to $100 off tablets, with a small payment from the user. These programs support access to online services for work, school, healthcare, and daily communication.

What You’ll Need to Show for Free Tablet Approval?
A valid photo ID like a passport, driver’s license, or national ID is required to confirm your personal identification details.
You must provide documents showing you’re enrolled in a program like SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, Public Housing, or the Lifeline benefit.
Proof of income or address can include recent pay slips, utility bills, lease agreement, or a current-year tax return copy.
